TAURUS FULL MOON - 26 October 2026
Exact at 4.11am UK time (GMT)
This is a very powerful Full Moon that could make us very aware of what we are holding onto in order to stay safe, and what attachments, habits and patterns are no longer healthy or helpful for us. Full Moons tend to bring things to a head, illuminating anything that might have been simmering beneath the surface in recent times, and this one is no exception. With the Sun and retrograde Mercury both in powerful, intense, perceptive Scorpio at the moment, we are being called to feel all of the feelings and face our shadows, confronting some deep, dark material that might be uncomfortable for us to face. With Pluto also squaring both the Sun and Moon, we could be asked, in no uncertain terms, to be completely honest with ourselves, stripping back the layers of self-deceit, exposing the raw truth and owning those parts of ourselves that we would rather not admit to.
Taurus is the part of us that may stick with situations, habits, relationships and patterns long after they have stopped being good for us. With all this Scorpio energy, along with Pluto challenging this lunation, we may be forced to recognise what simply isn’t sustainable anymore. The Taurus part of us might get a bit stuck sometimes, finding it hard to see a way out of whatever situation we find ourselves in, playing it safe because to make changes could threaten our sense of safety and security and activate our survival issues. Scorpio and Pluto could force us to walk across a burning bridge and not look back, shedding and detoxing and purging and liberating ourselves from anything that is decaying, toxic, unhealthy or dying in our lives. Scorpio brings a metaphorical death so that we can then be reborn.
It is as if there is nowhere left to hide – we simply must confront ourselves and expose the vulnerabilities, the fears, the subconscious patterns that lie beneath the choices we make. The more honest we can be, the better. If we can look in the mirror, with true humility, and be willing to truly see what is being shown to us, the more powerfully transforming this process will be. The Taurus Moon can help us to recognise our true worth, highlighting what truly has meaning in our lives and what we need to feel safe and secure, while Scorpio asks us to face the emotional truth and recognise what is operating beneath the surface and blocking us. Pluto can help us to take a trip into the underworld and see what buried treasure lies in the darkness, helping us to bare our souls, exposing our deepest, darkest fears and transforming any patterns that are preventing us from being free.
The Scorpio Sun is definitely in the hot seat during this Moon, as not only is Pluto squaring it, but Neptune in Aries and Uranus in Gemini are also joining up with the Sun in a Yod formation, aka “Finger of God”, with the finger pointing at the Sun. Neptune in sAries seems to be dissolving our old “self”, while a new one is slowly but surely forming, although there is no guide book, so we are feeling our way and that can be quite scary and vulnerable making at times. We seem to be being asked to honour ourselves and focus on our own journey, connecting with our personal inner guidance system rather than looking outside ourselves for answers. Scorpio season can be deep and intense and involves a lot of soul searching, so possibly we are being guided inward to the darkness of our own cocoons to undergo our process of transformation.
Uranus in Gemini can shake things up a bit, bringing sudden revelations, realisations and insight that could be a bit shocking or unsettling. Possibly we will be challenged to look at things in a different way, liberating us from old stories about ourselves, which could reveal a truth that may be somewhat uncomfortable to face. Scorpio tends to expose and penetrate to the heart of the matter, while Uranus could bring conversations, messages or information that force us to look in the mirror and own what we see there, possibly reconsidering our understanding of ourselves and whatever we are facing at the moment. This Yod certainly does hold the potential for radical honesty and a deeper understanding and acceptance of all that we are, warts and all, although we might need to go deep within to find the answers we seek.
Those of us with personal planets and angles around 2° of a sign will feel the energy of this Moon the most acutely, as the Sun, Moon, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and even Black Moon Lilith are all sitting between 2° and 4° right now. Uranus and Pluto are working their way back up to a supportive trine with one another, exact 29 November, which brings the potential for deep change, revolution, transformation and a considerable growth spurt when it comes to our evolution and soul growth. However, just because it is a trine doesn’t mean it will be easy. We are all transitioning, and the birth process can be painful. And yet beautiful. This Moon is a big part of the process, and Pluto and Uranus are big players, bringing profound insights and uncomfortable revelations that can be the catalyst for personal and collective growth and transformation.
Some questions to ask during this Moon might be “How am I resisting what I know I need?” and “How am I holding myself back by clinging to an outdated sense of security?” and “What is blocking me from all that I truly yearn for?” and “How do I get in my own way?” and “What am I holding onto because I fear what will happen if I let go?” and “What can provide a true sense of security, and what is merely familiar and stagnant?” and “Where in me do I notice extreme resistance to seeing another way of doing things?” and “What aspects of myself, when mirrored back to me, make me feel uncomfortable or bring feelings of shame?” and “What fears make it hard for me to trust?”
The ruler of Taurus is Venus, which has been retrograding through Scorpio in recent times and will have just moved back into Libra on Sunday 25 October, bringing a shift of energy in the realm of our relationship to self and others. Mercury also turns Retrograde in Scorpio on the same day. Such a lot is going on in the build up to this Moon! Retrogrades tend to bring reflection, retrospection, reconsidering, reviewing and revisiting, inviting us to go back over old ground, allowing memories to surface and potentially gaining new insight and psychological understanding around dynamics in our relationships that maybe we were unable to see before now. It is a time for looking back, and sometimes people from our past literally resurface, especially if there is unresolved business.
Venus will be opposite Chiron the Wounded Healer in Aries during this Moon, exact early on Wednesday 28 October. Venus retrograde can call for us to reconsider what we want and need from our relationships, and what we truly value and deserve. Chiron in Aries can highlight any wounds, discomfort or insecurities we may have around simply being ourselves, and could make us more aware of how we might hold ourselves back from asserting our needs or being full ourselves through fear of rejection or the loss of connection with others. However, this is where the healing is, and we could be called to do just that – to have the courage to honour ourselves and express our needs and desires in a loving way, even if the other person may not necessarily agree or like it.
The Sabian symbol for this Moon, at 3° Taurus, feels quite comforting: “Natural steps lead to a lawn of clover in bloom” which Dane Rudyar describes as ”The gradual expansion of the individual consciousness after a fecundating experience. Having been “activated” by electrical energy, the pure water of the mountain stream is able to fertilise the soil which covers itself with small blossoms. “Clover” however, is normally a symbol of the Triad (“Trinity”), and thus of the often-mentioned “three natures” in man. To reach the flowering garden of mind, the consciousness must proceed by steps. Effort is needed. What is reached is a flowering display of the simple, quite humble kind, yet bees are after it for honey. There is sweetness and energy latent in the blossoms. This symbol is a stage at which one should seek with diligence and determination, but in humility and faith, to reach NATURAL FULFILMENT.”
This symbol gives a sense that while we may be experiencing tumultuous times, with each going through our own journey as we crawl through the chrysalis or birth canal into this new way of being that is as yet unfamiliar and unknown, we don’t have to figure it out all in one go. Taurus reminds us to ground ourselves and remember the simple things in life, cultivating patience and taking one step at a time. Scorpio can bring up some intense emotions and a certain amount of turbulence, while Taurus reminds us that even small, simple choices can make a big difference. This symbol asks us to focus on what is already good in our life and build upon that, trusting that we are held and supported by Mother Earth, even when we are feeling wobbly or insecure. This symbol seems to be asking us to focus on what feels good and nourishes us, and trust that the way will reveal itself in the fullness of time. Faith and trust.
Much Love

PS - I only have a couple spaces left for my workshop on 14
Nov in London. I have just been looking at the astrology for the day of the workshop, and
it honestly couldn't be better! Scorpio season is the perfect time for this
kind of work - a great time for diving into our "stuff' and gaining more
understanding of our life path, and Jupiter is sitting on the South Node that
day, helping us to "fit the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle together" and
recognising how the past is informing our present day.
